It's Wednesday. What should I say?

So today is just about over. I don't even know what to say, actually. Just let me get warmed up. :-P

I got ready for work and was out the door a little before 8. Caught the bus, missed one train and waited 10 minutes for the next (that happens a lot when I get the 8:10 bus) and then hopped on the local train and was at work. My supervisor wasn't in yet so I just started taking observations, reviewing results, and doing some work on random PowerPoint's I have going and the "paper" of sorts I'm writing up. I kept taking observations and such but no sign of my supervisor. About 11:45 I get a "knock" on the partition by my desk. I turn around and there's Arkady and Esben! Haha, it sounds so stupid but I love that they come get me! I'm sure they feel like they are babysitting half the time but I appreciate it so much. We headed out and waited for Klas and met up with another woman, whose name I can't remember but she's Russian and she was cool. On our way to lunch it starts to rain. We get our food, get kicked off a table and decide to eat outside. It starts to rain again, only harder. We head back in and squish around a table where Melitza and another woman, a South African, have joined us. Lunch was nice. Came back, stopped my reaction, did another titration, worked up a couple results and left a little after 4.

By the way, I learned that my supervisor somehow slept through his alarm and didn't wake up till 8:30! He was at work an hour later (which is amazing what with trains and stuff) but it was funny. So I got to work before him. :-)

Once home I charged my iPod, found the bike lock key, and headed out to the grocery store. I'm leaving on Friday for Sweden and will (hopefully) be out tomorrow night but I knew I needed food for tonight and will need it for Monday too. Which reminds me, tonight I was supposed to meet up with the woman from the airport but, because of the rain and something at work for her came up, we've moved it to tomorrow. I should've packed tonight but I've put it off till tomorrow. Can you believe it? I'm flying to Sweden on Friday!

Anywho, I enjoyed the bike ride except bugs apparently like my eyes. I had like 4 fly into my face/eyes there and back. Talk about gross! I got back and made dinner. A dinner I am proud of, by the way. I bought a marinade and little mini shrimps (so cute!) and dipped each one in the marinade then heated them in a skillet. I made some corkscrew pasta and that was dinner (plus a piece of fruit and carrots--don't worry, I'm eating balanced meals). The only thing was the shrimps were a bit over spiced. So the spices were INTENSE but the meal was delicious. Being adventurous with my food--so fun.

I just chilled out downstairs the rest of the night. I can't tell you how nice that is. Instead of sitting in my room the whole night I can move around down here, watch TV, be outside (when it's not raining) and just feel way more relaxed.

I think that's it for today. Please keep praying for my physical well being as I'm still not 100%. And pray for peace of mind for my family since I won't be in much contact over the weekend in Sweden. In general pray for the people around me and the people I will meet. Still pray for courage, determination and patience.

Have a fantastic night or day,
Until tomorrow,
Bekah
