He is Always Faithful

"God is good" was already taken and it is sooo true that He is faithful and never fails. Why the gratitude? I just spent the last hour trying to find a flight to Munich for the 15th. I found one for $289, roundtrip, which is awesome considering it is only 10 days away. I called my mom to share the news and blessing and went to book it and...it was sold out! I tried three times to do it again with the same result. So I opened travelocity again and found that the price had changed to $231 roundtrip! I nearly fell off my seat! I went through the whole booking process and when the page with my confirmation popped up it said the flights were sold out. Yup, bummer number 2. I then opened a tab for four different websites and began perusing different options. My cheapest option was $346 and I would not be able to get to the airport for the outbound flight. Then I decided to check the carriers website and not the travel deal sites. Swiss.com has seen me visit at least ten times each day in the past 4 days. I went through, not expecting to find anything cheaper, and actually found a workable roundtrip and went for it. Nothing is refundable, I have a 40 min layover in Zurich and won't be back in CPH on the 21st till almost 8 pm but I am 100% okay with that and spent $287 total. God is good!

I also booked my hostel and already know that they will make sure I am not the only female in the room (the all female dorm was not available the 6 nights I will be there so I e-mailed ahead of time to check). Again, God is good.

Ah, it's going on 12:30 AM here and I need to go sleep. So, unfortunately, here's a quick run through of today.

I did little experimentation and analysis.
I researched zeolites and then companies that work with them (prep for the fall career fair).
I had lunch with Mai-Britt and Bodil (two women in my lab group) and then was joined by Charlotte and an asian girl (whose name I don't know). It was quite a nice lunch with very little Danish. Plus we were all women in science; it was nice. :-)
After lunch I handed out my raspberry cheesecake bars. Klas was first and approved; Arkady, Burcin, Brandon and Radek followed shortly thereafter and all agreed. So they were a success! Almost everyone asked me to verify that I'd actually made them. I guess they turned out pretty well. :-)
More reading and research then Esben tried the bars and also liked them. :-)
I found out I will be writing a 4-5 page paper about what we've done and concluded so far.
I went to dinner at a cafe with Burcin, Brandon, Arkady, Enric and two new post docs from DTU that know Brandon and Burcin from UCSB. VERY fun and we hung out at B&B's afterward and finished my cheesecake bars, ate Swiss Chocolate Arkady brought, and I got home around 10:30.

Now I'm going to bed! Thank you for your prayers and I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day/night/afternoon,
Bekah
